Cori Lau
Field of study: Cardiovascular Diseases
Responsibility on council: As president, I oversee all responsibilities of CLAMPS VP executives and act as a liaison between the department staff and CLAMPS.
About me: I am a 3rd year PhD candidate from Dr. Jason Fish's lab studying cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. Sarcastically, I love desserts.

Andrew Yim
Field of study: Cancer Biology
Responsibility on council: I primarily manage CLAMPS' main point of contact (clampslmp@gmail.com), so feel free to reach out with any inquiries or initiatives you'd like to discuss! I also promote relevant news and events through our Instagram and Twitter platforms, as well as via our Weekly Digests. Collaboration with our Communications and Outreach officer is essential to my role in implementing new ways of creating a strong network within LMP. Stay tuned!

Josh Haebe
Field of study: Cancer
Responsibility on council: I am responsible for hosting fun social activities for everyone in LMP. Look out for upcoming LMP events such as a Halloween party, Winter Formal and Wine and Cheese!
About me: I am a third-year PhD student in Dr. Catherine O'Brien's lab at PMCRT, studying Drug-Tolerant Persister cells in Colorectal cancer. Out of the lab, I like trying new sports, like tennis and golf as well as getting to know the other members of LMP at our social events!

Field of study: Cardiovascular Disease
Responsibility on council: As VP of Academics, we are responsible for promoting an environment of continuous learning and academic and professional growth for LMP Graduate Students. Throughout the year, we will be organizing various workshops and seminars, the LMP Product Show, and the LMP Research Conference.
About me: I am a 2nd year MSc student studying the role of endothelial cell dysfunction in cardiovascular disease. Outside of the lab, I enjoy swimming, biking, and reading a good book.

Vanessa Vuong

Field of study: Clinical Embryology
Responsibility on council: As VP External, I'm responsible for maintaining communication between CLAMPS and other organizations within the department and UofT. I will be coordinating events to increase the outreach and impact of CLAMPS towards a broader audience!
About me: I am a 2nd year MHSc. Clinical Embryology student and my capstone project is on correlating the levels of IZUMO1 ligand to standard WHO sperm parameters, which can pose as a novel diagnostic marker for fertilization capacity. As a way to destress, I love tackling different crochet projects and baking treats to share with family and friends, but I'm always eager to try new activities!
Head Location Director
Lina Li
Field of study: Infectious disease
Responsibility on council: I will serve as a liaison between the CLAMPS VP Team and Location Directors, communicating and working with the location directors to plan location specific events that hopefully everyone will enjoy!
About me: I am a 2nd year MSc student in the Girardin lab at the Medical Science Building, currently studying the intestinal epithelial system and how epithelial cells fight bacterial infections.
Treasurer
Shmily Lin
Field of study: Vaccinology
Responsibility on council: I manage the CLAMPS budget, serve as the primary signing authority, and prepare financial reports, including the end-of-year statement. I oversee funding applications and ensure financial planning for events like the LMP Research Conference (LMPRC).
About me: I’m an incoming graduate student studying systems vaccinology focused on RSV. You can find me in coffee shops, discovering new music, or planning my next adventure. I love connecting with others and am always up for a good chat!
Vice-President of Mentorship
Megan MacRae
Field of study: Clinical Embryology
Responsibility on council: I will help build a bridge between CLAMPs and the LMP mentorship program by helping to collaborate on different events and helping to promote the LMP mentorship program specifically during orientation week. Further, I will help to maintain and oversee the LMP mentorship program throughout the academic year.
About me: I’m a second-year MHSc student studying clinical embryology with a capstone project focusing on ovarian tissue transplantation and revascularization. Outside of school, I love spending time with family and friends, doing outdoor activities, and playing sports like soccer and highland dancing. A fun fact is that my first language is French.

Responsibility on council: I am responsible for all things athletic and wellness-related. My goal is to provide a little something for every grad student to enjoy outside of the lab, whether that be intramural sports, trivia nights, book clubs, paint nights, and beyond!
About me: I am a 2nd year MSc student. I enjoy meeting new people, baking, reading a good book, swimming and playing volleyball.
TRP-CLAMPS Student Representative
Mikhail Lobo
Field of study: MHSc in Translational Research
Responsibility on council: I will be coordainating collaborative events between TRP and the rest of the LMP student body. I want to better facilate and include TRP students within LMP.
About me: I am 2nd year MHSc Student studying translational research. Specifically, I am working on projects related to the diagnosis and treatment of Dysautonomia. I also love reading, movies, working out an sports (dragon boat and volleyball).
MHSc-CLAMPS Student Representative
Amanda Dias
Field of study: Clinical embryology
Responsibility on council: As the MHSc student representative, I bridge connections between the MHSc cohorts and the LMP department by organizing events each academic semester and contributing to the planning of the annual conference.
About me: I am a 2nd year MHSc student in the Clinical Embryology stream. My Capstone project involves comparing microfluidic and density-gradient sperm processing in intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and embryo transfer (ET) cycles. Beyond my academic pursuits, I have a passion for traveling, painting, watching films, and exploring music across all genres.
