About the program
Research in the health sciences is advancing at a rate never seen in human history. Despite this, too much promising research is not translated into innovations that improve people’s lives. Our mission is to challenge people to think differently, so they will be inspired to lead and drive change in their communities.
The Translational Research Program (TRP), is a graduate degree program developed at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, that has created a framework and curriculum to train highly skilled personnel who are able to:
- Identify person-centric and ingenuity gaps
- Scope problems and verify assumptions
- Test and iterate on real-world projects to translate discoveries into action
- Embrace ambiguity
The Master of Health Science (MHSc) In Translational Research is a two-year (five-term) project-based professional degree that requires 8.0 full-course equivalents (FCE) and the completion of a capstone project.
