2024 Pathology Update: Biomarker and molecular testing in the era of precision medicine - what Pathologists need to know
From the Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
For Anatomic Pathologists, Surgical Pathologists, Radiologists, Pathologist Assistants, Residents/Fellows.
This year's Pathology Update will focus on Biomarker and Molecular Testing in the Era of Precision Medicine: What Pathologists Need to Know. Join us and refine your skills for classifying novel tumours, using molecular tools to supplement diagnostic algorithms, and more.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this conference, the participants will be able to:
- Explain the requirements and limitations of molecular testing
- Identify relevant molecular tests for day-to-day clinical practice
- Assess the relevance of various clinically applicable molecular tests
- Review and describe common challenging problems in molecular pathology
- Report clinically relevant combined histological findings and ancillary tests, including molecular tests, to personalize patient management
