Join for an evening of delicious refreshments, insightful speakers and networking opportunities related to the South Asian experience in medicine and health sciences!

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Sunit Das is neurosurgeon and scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Kids and Professor and Keenan Chair in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is also a cross-appointed faculty member at LMP. 

Panelists

Dr. Naheed Dosani is a palliative care physician and health justice activist. He is Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and Investigator with the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at St. Michael's Hospital's Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute.

Dr. Vathany Kulasingam is Division Head of Clinical Biochemistry at University Health Network and Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at Temerty Medicine. She is a Clinician-Investigator at Princess Margaret Cancer Center and is the Co-Director of the Postdoctoral Training Program in Clinical Chemistry at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Gurpreet Mand is a family physician, the Faculty Development Lead for the Schulich Family Medicine Teaching Unit at Humber River Health, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Samra Zafar is an award-winning international speaker, bestselling author, and psychiatry resident at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is the author of A Good Wife: Escaping The Life I Never Chose and Unconditional: Break Through Past Limits to Transform Your Future.
