Jiong Yan

I obtained my doctoral degree in Medicine in Peking Union Medical College in China and received my PhD and post-doctoral training in molecular and human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. My Pathology residency and Hematopathology fellowship training was at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. I have published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in reputed journals. I worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan and I am currently a hematopathologist in the department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.   

Research Synopsis

My research interests are molecular mechanisms of hematopoietic neoplasms.   I am interested in characterizing morphologic, immunophenotypic, and molecular features of different types of  hematopoietic neoplasms as well as their relevance to clinical treatment and outcome.
