Miranda Wozniak
MD, FRCPC
Dr. Wozniak obtained her medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 2006. After training for one year in family medicine she went on to complete her residency training in Laboratory Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital. She obtained her FRCPC certificate in Hematological Pathology in May 2010 and joined LifeLabs as Hematology Discipline Head in November 2010.
Dr. Wozniak has since taken on several additional roles within the organization including Laboratory Director for the highest volume lab in the province and Deputy Ontario Medical Director. Dr. Wozniak further dedicates her time to laboratory quality improvement by serving as an IQMH laboratory assessor and as a member of the OAML Hematology Committee.
Dr. Wozniak is currently involved in several projects at LifeLabs including the national hematology platform upgrade project, validation and implementation of 10-colour flow cytometry, and optimization and standardization of seminal analysis testing. Dr. Wozniak also has a passion for teaching and will soon offer a hematopathology residency training rotation at LifeLabs.
